YASSE is a day program at the Leitner Family Observatory and Planetarium for New Haven area students in 6th through 8th grades who are interested in astronomy, aeronautics, and space science. We will do a variety of fun activities to inspire and engage our explorer-participants which also teach fundamental science and engineering concepts. The 2024 pilot program will host 10 participants at no cost. Participants must be entering the 6th, 7th, or 8th grades in the New Haven Public School District in the Fall of 2024.
The program is full for Summer 2024, but an application will be added next spring for Summer 2025.
